Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is described as the one of the most extravagant monument which has been built for love, and it has been the emblem of India. The Taj Mahal has been built by the emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his second wife Mumtaz who has died giving birth of his fourteenth child in 1631. It has also been counted in the World Heritage Sites.
Agra Fort
Agra Fort has been constructed with the red sandstone on the bank of river Yamuna and was being established by the emperor Akbar in 1565. The fort has been built particularly by his grand son Shah Jahan by using his favorite building material white marble.
Akbar Mausoleum
It is an outstanding tomb of Mughal"s greatest emperor Akbar made up from red sandstone and white marble. The tomb lies in the centers of the garden, where deers graze, monkeys plays in the trees and peacocks and parakeets also makes the presence feel.
Fatehpur Sikri
This site of Fatehpur Sikri lies at the distance of 40 kilometers west of Agra, which was the Mughal empire"s short lived capital between 1571 and 1585, during the reign of Akbar. It has been counted under the World Heritage Sites and it has to be visited as the trip from Agra.
Sikandara Fort
The Sikandara Fort has been built by Akbar to carry out his projects like arts, literature, religion, architecture and statesmanship. The fort is situated at the western part of the city at the distance of the 10 kilometers from the city center. This has been built with the red sandstone and is carved beautifully that reflects the persona of great emperor Akbar.
